The wool is specially treated with a so-called "Superwash", which makes the wool extra soft, strengthens the natural antibacterial function and the ability to remove bad smells. There is no material that handles heat, drying and transport of moisture as efficiently as Merino wool. The fact that it also inhibits bad smells and warms even when wet is a bonus.
