The Supertech R is designed to be lightweight, smooth and to provide close contact with the bike controls! They are reinforced around the heel and up in the boot shaft. Seen from profile, an arc shape is formed on the back of the boot, specially designed to handle a big impact on the heel and spread it out on a larger surface. This is to reduce the risk of injuries to the ankles etc.
They have a separate inner shoe that is removable, which includes protection for both toes and feet. This allows you to have a smoother outer shoe with more flex in the right places while maintaining and even improving safety. The boot has a smooth, reinforced surface on the inside towards the bike's frame to get a good grip.
